20 Years of Investing in ME Research: Discover ME

The 18th International ME Conference (#IIMEC18), organised by Invest in ME Research, will take place on 29th May 2026 at the Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton Hall. IIMEC18 logo IIMEC18 will bring together a distinguished group of researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates to share knowledge and foster collaboration. As an additional day to the BRMEC15 Researchers' Colloquium, IIMEC18 will be open to the public, providing a unique opportunity for broader engagement with the latest developments in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) research. While BRMEC15 is a closed event for researchers, IIMEC18 will allow patients, carers, and the general public to attend and contribute to discussions, making it an important step in bridging the gap between the scientific community and the wider ME population.

The event will feature updates from the BRMEC15 colloquium, alongside presentations and discussions that highlight recent advancements in ME research. It will also address the growing body of work on Long Covid, due to the shared symptomatology between ME and Long Covid, providing context for ongoing studies in both fields.

Programme

The conference will commence at approximately 08:55 and will conclude at approximately 17:00 on 29 May.

We aim to present a varied agenda that includes keynote presentations and panel discussions covering various aspects of ME research and clinical practice.
