About Terra Biological LLC

Terra Biological LLC

Terra Biological LLC is a biotechnology company based in the life-sciences hub of San Diego, California, founded in 2006 and focused on pharmacological development of oxaloacetate-based metabolic interventions. Their work centres on the therapeutic potential of oxaloacetate, a key metabolite in the Krebs cycle and cellular energy metabolism.

Through collaborations with academic researchers and clinical investigators, Terra Biological supports studies that explore how metabolic interventions might benefit people with complex chronic diseases such as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). Research in ME/CFS has highlighted abnormalities in energy metabolism and Krebs cycle intermediates, and Terra Biological has developed patented, stabilised oxaloacetate formulations that are being evaluated in clinical trials.

One such formulation, Anhydrous Enol-Oxaloacetate (AEO), is designed to support cellular energy production and has been investigated in clinical studies for fatigue and related symptoms, including the RESTORE ME trial in ME/CFS. Their products sit at the interface of nutritional and biomedical research, and are developed as specialised nutritional interventions for the dietary management of chronic fatigue-related conditions.

As a sponsor of the International ME Conference Week, Terra Biological supports the global exchange of biomedical research to improve the lives of people affected by post-viral and metabolic illnesses.
